Custom Application Field is a dynamic feature in Skillate which allows recruiters to define fields that they want to capture through candidate’s application. To capture custom information through these fields, they have to be included in the application configuration such as career page, referral, agency, chatbot etc.
For example, recruiters may wish to capture the permanent address of the candidates when they apply for a job listing through the organization’s career page. This custom information can be fetched by defining a custom application field and configuring it with the career page application.
Here’s how to do it:
- Go to Settings > Custom Fields > Application Fields.
- Click “Create New”, fill in the title, description and type of field you want to define. Checking the “Link this to candidate’s field as well” box means all the information captured through multiple modes and sources will reflect in candidate’s profile. Also, the latest information will be considered for the candidate, while applications information will also remain. In case the same information is captured through multiple sources/forms, the latest information provided by the candidate shall be considered. After filling the details, click “Add”.
